100 Years of Arts and Culture in Alberta - A Documentary

After 10 months and 30,000 km of travelling the province in 2004, DTMInc
(Digital Time Machine Incorporated) created a one hour documentary, Dreamers and Doers, to showcase the arts and cultures of Alberta in celebration of the province's centennial.

The production crew travelled from Waterton to Cold Lake, from Medicine Hat to Grande Prairie, in pursuit of Alberta's Dreamers and Doers - the people who have created, supported, and inspired the arts and cultures of the province. They discovered and recorded over 53 specialists in their genre of arts - song, film, dance and visual arts - and captured them in their documentary.

The documentary is airing on Canadian Learning Television and Access Television through 2005, and during the summer will be shown twice daily at the Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives in Jasper Alberta.

To honour several of the artists featured in the documentary, the Dreamers and Doers project has arranged to bring them to Jasper throughout the summer of 2005. These events are open to hotel patrons as well as the public. The line-up of artists include:
