Canada Parks DayOn July 16, and 17th, many parks and protected areas are celebrating Canada Parks Day and Alberta's Centennial. With over 500 parks and protected areas throughout Alberta, there are many ways to celebrate. From guided walks, to displays, demonstrations, workshops, fishing derbies, wildlife talks, canoe rides, there is a way everyone can come out and celebrate. Centennial Post Card Series There's no doubt Alberta possesses some of the most scenic and diverse landscapes. To commemorate Alberta's Centennial the province's Parks and Protected Areas have produced a series of posters and post card sets that showcase the spectacular scenery within the six natural regions of the province. To purchase the limited edition series, an order form is available on the Park's and Protected Areas section of the Community Development website.
