Win the Chance to Participate in the 2005 Calgary Stampede Parade

Three young Albertans will be front row and centre for this year's Calgary Stampede Parade. As part of the provincial centennial celebrations, the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede has launched an essay contest for students in grades 4 to 12.

Students are encouraged to write stories, in 500 words or less, and share what western heritage and values mean to them, their families and friends. Three winners will be chosen and the winning stories will be published.

A panel that includes community leaders and Alberta's Centennial Ambassadors will select the winners. Completed entry forms must be submitted by April 15th.

The three winners will be contacted on May 31st. Each winner will be featured in the Stampede Parade on Friday July 8, 2005. Winners will also receive:
an invitation to the Parade Participants' Barbeque on the evening before the Parade;
an invitation to the Stampede Breakfast before the parade at Fort Calgary;
VIP seating for 4 family members for the Parade; and,
a pass for the winner and 4 family members to enjoy a day at the Park during Stampede.

You can find all the contest information and entry form on the Calgary Stampede website.
