Alberta has many stories to tell. The Writers Guild of Alberta is celebrating Alberta's centenary by sending 100 writers to 100 communities between June 1 and October 31, 2005.
The stories of Alberta are in journals, stories, poems, letters, genealogy records and books. They are written by the people who lived the founding of Alberta. It is the writers of history who reveal our passions, struggles and strengths. It is the words that show us the humanity of Alberta's history.
Together with local community partners, the Guild is hosting readings, speaking engagements, and workshops that showcase and share the talents of Alberta's writers and authors.
