Albertans can enjoy a free camping night at all provincial parks and recreation areas on September 1. With more than 500 sites across the province, there are many opportunities to enjoy Alberta's natural heritage. Free camping applies to all camping fees including Group Use Fees and related surcharges except reservation fees where applicable. To enjoy this free camping experience, visitors need a No Charge Camping Permit available at the park registration office or self-registration booth.
And if you want to take in one (or several) of Alberta's provincially owned museums and historic sites, admission to these facilities is also free on September 1st. Visit the Alberta Historic Sites and Museums listing to see which facilities are included.
