Centennial Gift of Art

A portion of Alberta's surplus is being added to the province's centennial investment to create a provincial showcase for art in the capital city.  An Alberta government investment of $15 million into the Edmonton Art Gallery renewal will create the new Art Gallery of Alberta, recognizing the existing facility's growing role in highlighting art, culture and creativity in the province.  The renewal compliments the Royal Alberta Museum, giving Albertans two world-class cultural facilities that celebrate and promote our history and culture.
