Two teams of young performers toured Alberta's rural communities between May and September of 2006 to stir up Centennial spirit. The five-member casts presented stories from Alberta's past 100 years and passed out free official souvenirs and prizes as part of their presentations.
The groups appeared at more than 40 events, including, fairs, rodeos, homecomings as well as official Centennial Events.
The Celebrate Alberta Teams also kept online web diaries so Albertan's could follow them as they travelled around the province. Their experiences were also captured on film by Shaw Cable. The footage was turned into a special Centennial program that was broadcast throughout Alberta on Shaw at the end of the summer.
