Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park

Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park is in the migratory path of many neotropical bird species and houses Canada’s northern most migration monitoring station - one of the only ones located in Canada’s Boreal Forest. The Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation, will provide laboratory and office space for scientists, scholars and volunteers conducting research. It will also offer a host of public programs including an interpretive display, bird banding demonstrations, courses and special events.
