Canadian Finals Rodeo Celebrates the Centennial

The spotlight is on the capital city for the next week as the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) gets set to start at Northlands Park. The CFR brings the best rodeo competitors from the Canadian professional season to compete for the title of Canadian champion from November 9 to 13.

Saturday, November 12 will be a grand celebration of Alberta's centennial. Prepare yourself for an evening of spectacular theatre and rodeo excitement. The opening ceremony will feature a centennial pyrotechnics display and a feature video looking back on the province's one-hundred year history.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

CFR has been a proud part of Edmonton's history since 1974 and boasts the richest purse in Canadian rodeo with $1,000,000 awarded in 2004. More than 94,000 fans took in the rodeo action last November setting a new record for the highest ever overall attendance in CFR history.
